Call for Abstracts

 

There is space in the program for up to eight presentations by scholars, advanced graduate students or early career researchers from philosophy, psychology and related areas, whose research lies broadly within the theme of the conference. We also welcome submissions focused on interdisciplinary work.


Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • automatic and controlled processes in agency and potential connections to responsibility and freedom

  • evolutionary perspectives on agency

  • mental representations

  • experience and the process of formation of concepts

  • conceptual vs. non-conceptual mental content 

  • phenomenal aspects of cognition

  • the role of experience in relation to agency

  • cognitive processes connecting perception to action

  • perception and introspection

  • abnormal experiences

  • perception, imagination, and actions

 

 

 

To notify your interest in presenting your research at the conference, please send a title and an abstract of your paper (no more than 500 words) to the following address: naturalcognition2018@gmail.com.

 

Deadline for receipt of abstracts is October 22. Lunches and conference dinner, as well as on campus accommodation will be free for contributing speakers. 

 

Successful participants will be notified by October 27.
